Since returning from our lovely stay at the Brownsville House in December, we have recommended it to several friends and family members. In fact, we're telling people to visit Brownsville simply so they can experience the Brownsville house and Cyndi and Bob's warm hospitality. This was our first real get-away since having kids, and we couldn't have asked for better accommodations. The breakfasts alone earn the Brownsville House a 5-star rating in our book, but the fact that our hosts anticipated every detail send this charming place right off the charts. Cheers!

Kay and I live in Brownsville and we recently had a baby boy. Our entire family and some friends have visited us over the past few months and they have all stayed at the Brownsville House. We always end up there in the evenings for drinks and conversation with Cindy and Bob and on Sunday mornings for an outrageously good breakfast. Thanks for making everyone feel so welcome! You have a very special place and we feel lucky to have you in our home town.

Just stayed at the brownsville house, I feel like it's my home away from home. Went to visit my son's new baby boy who lives just outside Brownsville. I am so fortunate to know the owners Cyndi and Bob, they are the most wonderful hosts.
I can't wait for my next visit, what a place!

Deb and I had a wonderful stay in late August. We cycled 50+ miles in, on a hot afternoon. The town had a temporary power outage but the light's always on at Brownsville House. Bob and Cyndi are wonderful hosts, and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. We'll be pedaling back soon.

Outstanding!!! We recently stayed at this Bed & Breakfast house and we've never had such a wonderful experience! The house is located within walking distance of town and is a very charming/clean facility. The owners, Cyndi and Bob are such fun people and very accommodating! We can hardly wait until we can go back to stay and totally relax at "The Brownsville House"!

Where to begin. This is hands-down the best place to stay in Brownsville. A friend and I were only able to stay for one night, but it was a comfortable and easy rest for us. The breakfast was magnificent. I was full until dinner! We took advantage of having breakfast with some Brownsville residents to enhance our 'Stand By Me' experience with Linda and Ray McCormick. I highly suggest that anyone staying take advantage of having breakfast with any one of the residents. Brownsville has such an amazing community and this B&B just radiates everything awesome about the town!
I felt at home as soon as I walked through the doors. What a fantastic vibe. I cannot wait to go back :)

We loved our too brief stay at Brownsville. The house is gorgeous and extremely comfortable - silky sheets, thirsty towels, and the most delicious & bountiful breakfast imaginable! Although we arrived in some distress, Cyndi, Bob and the beautiful Bella Margaret were gracious and made us feel welcome and very well cared for. We hope to return under better circumstances someday.

This was the vacation I'd been needing. Bob & Cyndi made us feel like part of the family. Brownsville has peace, quiet, and the best breakfast if you stay in the right place ;)
We can't wait to come back with more friends for an annual retreat! Thank you again!

We loved our sojourn in your lovely world. The photos on this web site say it all, but they cannot totally convey the spirit of welcome and respite we found at The Brownsville House. From the moment we came through the gate we knew we were in a special place.
It's hard to isolate just one superlative, but if I had to to it I would mention the attention to small details. You rock. I also noticed the support and community inclusion everywhere, from the locally made soaps, locally roasted coffee and the resource materials you provide about the rich history of the area. The opportunity to invite local Brownsville folks to breakfast is fantastic. We so enjoyed meeting Mandy, and we had a great conversation at breakfast.
I cannot ring off without mentioning the food.
Over. The. Top. This is a drop dead gorgeous meal, with every bite an adventure. Just like the pictures. All this and gourmet food too....the best B&B breakfast I can remember, produced nearly 100% from the garden and neighbors' efforts. Spectacular.
Bravo. I challenge anyone reading this to outbook me in 2011.
Thanks so much,

Hi Cynde and Bob,
We loved our stay in your lovely home. We both enjoyed meeting and talking with you. The breakfast was fantastic, over the top. The food was way beyond our expectations. We also loved meeting the pop artist. As we rode out of town we stopped by the shop for a look at John's work. That was a treat too.
We would love to see you guys again. Look us up when you come to Portland. The PSU Alumni Exhibit runs from November 2nd through the 24th. The opening is Saturday, November 6th from 6-9 pm. Let us know when you are coming and we can get together, either for the exhibit or something else. Cynthia says hi and to tell you that she loves the soap.
I talked to our daughter Ruth about our trip. She wants to do one with us sometime so we may be back!
Thanks for a memorable experience.

We just got home from our trip to Oregon. We biked the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway from Portland to Eugene. We stayed at four Bed and Breakfasts along the way. This was by far our FAVORITE! Loved the house, Cindy and Bob, the pets and the food was to die for. The washer and dryer available to us was perfect. We are planning our trip for next year so we can visit you guys again! The Breakfast with Brownsville group was treated to a "sample" of what the breakfasts and hospitality are at the brownsville house and WOW, they get high marks on everything. Guests will find staying here a real treat.

After having a wonderful brunch to help test the breakfast offerings for The Brownsville House, I would suggest you come and stay here for the food for sure. The lemon pancakes were my favorite! The rooms are warm and cozy too. This is no ordinary bed and breakfast...this is magical.
